Just learn and just try to find you to put into the music and your own personality and your own sensibility. So I find inspiration in a lot of different ways... When I make music and it goes through my filter and it comes out... It comes out really dark. I need to keep educating myself because I think the key to everything in life, period, is education. When you stop moving forward and you stop learning you are gonna stand still and then there's only one way to go from there and that's backwards... And that's usually when people go "What happened to him?"... I'm not gonna be the "What happened to him?" guy. I sat down and just... took 6 months out really and just... dived into... learning.

Do you expect to actually make any money out of the concept of the recordings that you've come here to make? No... No. Why then you do it? Well I... Think that any artistic decision that is based on wether or not you are gonna make money is not really an artistic decision... It's a... Business decision. And... There are lot of things that I can do to earn a living and a lot of things that I've already done to earn a living which would produce the amount of capital needed to do this project. I came here to spend money to record my music so I can take it home and I can listen to it and... If somebody else likes that kind of stuff I would make it available on a record so that they can hear it. That is my part of the public service is spending the money to make this event happen. No foundation grant, no government assistance, no corporation, no committee... Just... A crazy guy who spent the money...

And I think all artists that are worth their anything are filled with doubt all the time and the few that just don’t have any doubt… They could be successful, they could be good workmen, they could be good craftsmen… But they’re not gonna be… the really great artist. ‘Cause I think doubt and art are kind of… Combined. It’s almost impossible to pull them apart. Doubting yourself and then… Finding confidence and moving forward and then… Doubting what you’ve just done and then… Working through that… I think… This is the life of a composer and I think it’s the life… Of an Artist. People use the word ‘Victim’ so much and I don’t really think we spend a lot of time really unravelling the idea. If something out there is controlling your feelings and your thoughts you are a ‘Victim’ to whatever that is… If they don’t understand that they’re creating reality all the time and they’re living in lack for their whole entire life waiting for the event to happen, well, they’ll spend their whole entire life wishing, wanting, waiting, hoping.
